Gutter Installation and Repair in Atlanta, GA

Gutters Built to Handle Georgia Rain

Why Your Gutters Matter More Than You Think

Your Gutters and Roof Work as One System

Atlanta’s spring storms and long, humid summers push a lot of water off your roof in a short time, and your gutters decide where that water ends up. A gutter installation done right carries rain away from your foundation, siding, windows, and landscaping. When gutters sag, leak, or clog, that same water pools against your house and works its way into places that cost far more to fix than the gutters themselves. KTM Roofing has installed and repaired gutters across Greater Atlanta since 1984, and we treat your gutter system as part of your roof, not an afterthought bolted on at the end.

Your roof and gutters work together. The roof sheds water into the gutters, and the gutters move it to the ground and away from the structure. If one side of that system fails, the other suffers. A clogged gutter backs water up under your asphalt shingles, and a worn roof edge tears at your gutters. We perform a gutter and roof inspection, so whether you need roof repairs or new gutter guards installed we have you covered.

Gutter Construction and Materials

Seamless vs. Sectional Gutters

Sectional gutters come in pre-cut lengths joined together along each run, and every joint is a place that can leak, clog, or pull apart over time. Seamless gutters are formed from a single continuous piece of metal, cut to the exact length of each roofline on site. The only seams are at corners and downspout outlets, which means far fewer places for roof leaks to start. KTM Roofing installs seamless gutters, and for most Atlanta homes that is the system we recommend.

Gutter Styles

Gutters come in a few common profiles, and the right one depends on your roof, your home’s architecture, and how much water your roof sheds.

K-style is the most common residential profile in Atlanta. Its flat back mounts flush to the fascia, its front face resembles crown molding, and it holds more water than a round gutter of the same width.

Half-round gutters use a simple U-shaped trough. They suit older and historic homes and pair well with copper.

Box gutters are oversized and built into the roof structure, typically on larger or commercial buildings that move heavy volumes of water.

Gutter Materials

KTM Roofing installs gutters in three metals, each suited to a different home, look, and budget. All three form into clean seamless runs and hold up to Atlanta weather for the long haul.

Aluminum is the workhorse of Atlanta gutters. It resists rust, comes in a wide range of baked-on colors, and forms cleanly into seamless runs. For most homes, aluminum is the right balance of durability and cost.

Steel is heavier and stronger than aluminum and stands up better to falling limbs and ladder impact, which makes it a good choice for homes under heavy tree cover.

Copper is the premium option. It never needs painting, weathers to a distinctive patina, and can last for decades. Copper is a natural fit for historic homes, half-round profiles, and architectural rooflines where the gutter is part of the look.

Signs Your Gutters Need Repair or Replacement

Catch the Warning Signs Early

Gutters fail slowly, then all at once. Catching the early signs saves you from foundation and roof repairs later. If your gutters clog constantly, a stainless steel gutter guard system can cut the maintenance dramatically.

Watch For The Following Gutter Signs

  • Water spilling over the edges during rain, which usually points to a clog or a slope problem.

  • Sagging, or gutters pulling away from the fascia.

  • Peeling paint or rust streaks on the gutters or the siding beneath them.

  • Pooling water or eroded soil along the foundation after storms.

  • Cracked, split, or separated seams and joints.

  • Water in the basement or a damp crawl space.

  • Overflow at the corners or downspouts.

If you notice any of these issues with your gutter system, contact KTM Roofing or call us at (678) 565-7663 to schedule a roof inspection.

Gutter Installation FAQs

KTM Roofing Is Here To Guide You

Most residential seamless gutter installations are a one-day job. Larger homes, multi-story rooflines, or jobs that include fascia repair can run into a second day. We give you a clear timeline with your estimate.

For almost every Atlanta home, yes. Seamless gutters have far fewer joints, which means fewer leaks and less maintenance over the life of the system, and they sit cleaner against the house.

It depends on your roof’s size, pitch, and runoff. Five-inch gutters handle most homes, while larger or steeper roofs often need six-inch gutters and oversized downspouts. We size the system when we measure.

Often, yes. Sagging brackets, leaking seams, and loose downspouts are usually repairable. When gutters are rusted through, undersized, or pulling off the fascia, replacement is the more cost-effective call, and we’ll tell you which one you’re looking at.

Yes. KTM Roofing installs LeafBlaster Pro stainless steel micro-mesh gutter guards, which keep leaves and pine needles out while letting water through. Ask about adding them to a new or existing system.

Our Gutter Services

Installation, Repair, and Replacement

Most gutter work in Atlanta falls into three buckets, and we handle all of them.

  • Gutter installation. For new construction, an addition, or a first upgrade from builder-grade gutters. We measure your rooflines, size the system for your roof’s runoff, and install seamless gutters cut to fit on site.
  • Gutter repair. Sagging sections, pulled brackets, leaking seams, loose downspouts, and separated joints. If a repair will hold, we repair it, and we tell you plainly when it won’t.
  • Gutter replacement. When gutters have rusted through, pulled off the fascia, or were undersized from the start, replacement is the honest call. We remove the old system, check the fascia and roof edge underneath, and install a new one built for your home.

Every job includes properly placed downspouts and, where your grading needs it, downspout extensions that carry water far enough from the foundation to matter.
