What is Roof Ventilation?
Roof ventilation is a static, wind, or power-operated system for removing hot air and moisture from the air under your roof. This includes ridge vents, which is another common roofing term.
Other Definitions
You won’t likely hear another top level term, but you will hear solution-based terms. For example there are excellent power-options to have a thermostat programmed fan operating in the attic when the roof is above a certain temperature.
Why it Matters
Ventilation is essential to your home’s roof. You do not want moist-hot air being stagnant in the attic. When we inspect your home’s roof, we can discuss if additional ventilation is recommended. This may also be a good time to review your home’s insulation, which KTM can supplement if requested.
